Spring Celebration Assembly

Yesterday the whole school got together to share some Spring songs and poems.

 P3 and P4 started the celebration with 2 Spring Songs.

The nursery and pre-school Yummy Vegetables sang a lovely song. 

P5 read Daffodils by William Wordsworth and then some of our own Daffodil and Spring acrostic poems.

The SPS Spring ensemble played 3 tunes.  Well done to the beginner group for joining in too.  It was great to see such a range of different string instruments taking part.

P1 and P2 sang 'Spring Chicken'.  The masks looked great! 

The SPS Brass and Woodwind ensemble was next.  They played the theme from 'Titanic'. 

P7 shared a poem and information about Mothers' Day.

 Vicki's Dance group demonstrated a super dance to 'Happy'.

Tom, Aimee and Anna are in the Dance Group.

Mr McIntosh and Leona Gordon (netball coach) handed out certificates to the 3 Stromness Netball teams. 

Smashers came 3rd in the Hoxa League.

Sparklers and Smarties came joint first in the Herston league.
