Sports Relief Day!

We started off the day with our normal Friday routine of practising our maths skills on Study Ladder and completing our spelling check up.

Then we made a start to our individual daffodil artwork.

Some of us chose to use oil pastels, while other used chalk.  Jay used watercolour paint and a few of the boys created pencil drawings.

Just before lunch we completed the Sport Relief Fun Run.  P7 encouraged classes to go around the school 10 times - either running, walking, skipping, hopping etc.  It was harder than we expected it to be....the school is really big!

The afternoon was a lot of fun.  The P7's held stalls and games in the hall and outside.
Sponge the teacher was VERY popular.  Here is Mr McIntosh getting a bit wet. Ashley in P2 had a great throw and got 2 of the 3 sponges right in Mr McIntosh's face!
Jay had a go too since he came to school kitted out in a wetsuit!

The stalls inside were really busy too.  Lots of money being spent and all going towards a super cause!

Jayden decided to do a Sponsored Silence to raise some money.

She made £10.63 in total!  What a quiet day we had!  :0)  Good for you Jayden!

Keith won the 'Guess the Birthday' competition!  He was really chuffed with his prize!

A great end to the week!

Let's hope the weather stays nice for the weekend.

REMINDER:  Pier Arts Centre Preview on this Saturday.  All pupils received an invitation to attend.
Every child in SPS has a piece of artwork on display. Well worth a look - hope to see you there.
