Last Thursday we welcomed Lindsey Taylor back and worked towards creating food sources for wild birds around the school.
Making the fat balls was a messy job! We had to combine lard, seeds and dry porridge oats with our hands and shape it into a sphere shape. They are chilling in the fridge now to make them hard and we will put them outside soon.
From the plastic bottles we took in we made bird feeders. We did this by adding a wooden perch to the bottom, holes for the birds to feed through, seeds on the inside and a wire to hang them up. They looked fabulous- see pictures below.
