Thursday 23rd January 2014

Today we were learning about information handling in maths.  2 groups played the dice rolling game and created a block graph with their results.  They also played the cube grab game.  Have a look at the graphs we created below:

The other 2 groups were working on creating tables to record tally marks.  They also played a dice rolling game.  60 rolls of 2 dice, totalling the score and recording it in the table using a tally mark.  They then played an information sorting game on the Smartboard.  We experimented with a pictogram, block graph and bar chart to show the different ways information can be displayed.

We are learning about the Industrial Revolution is project.  We were finding out how Britain changed during this time for good and bad.

We listened carefully to Miss Kelday as she explained the changes and how Britain grew during the Victorian era.  We then tested our listening and memory skills by creating a group mindmap to show what we knew.

We all managed to add lots of facts to our mindmaps.
