Something very exciting happened at school on Thursday!

A treasure chest box was found washed up on the shore early on Thursday morning!

After being contacted by the harbour department, Mrs Whitford along with lots of helpers brought this exciting box in to school!

P4/3 were very excited to see the box getting carried past their classroom and there was lots of anticpation and speculation about what might be inside!

Tom Muir was a very brave man and carefully opened the treasure box for us!

We all watched and listened excitedly as Tom Muir investigated and showed us what was inside.

We took this very exciting treasure chest in to our classroom on Friday morning for a closer look.

We then shared our fantastic ideas about where this treasure chest had come from and who it had belonged to etc..

Our ideas were so good that we decided to start planning to write a story about them.

Lots of us thought that this treasure chest must have belonged to a pirate or two!

Miss Begley can't wait to start writing our imaginative stories next week!
