Nav School Trip
We were kindly invited to the Nav School on Tuesday 28th February. We had a great time learning about tidal patterns, how to make an emergancy call from a boat in trouble and how to survive at sea.

Some of us got to have a shot at making an emergancy radio call. If your ship is in trouble you should use your radio to call for help and say MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY! This tells the other ships that you need help.

We got to enjoy the beautiful view of Stromness from the balcony!

This life raft could fit the whole class inside it! If you got lost at sea and your boat was not safe to stay in then you would need a life raft similar to this one.
If you are unlucky enough to get stranded at sea you need certain rations to keep you going. You would need to take cans of fresh drinking water and energy biscuits.
